What is "Friends of MYTV26?"

MYTV26, officially known as  Central Valley Media Center, Inc., is a private non-profit organization dedicated to providing a venue for residents of the Modesto, and Stanislaus County region to speak their mind.  MYTV26 privides a medium for local producers to get their message to the people in one of the strongest ways possible.

MYTV26 is not supported by tax dollars - we receive no direct funding from the city of Modesto or Stanislaus County. Instead, we are supported by those who use the system, our producers, and by donations from various organizations and individuals.  FRIENDS OF MYTV26 is an organization involved in helping to raise funds for the development of programming and the expansion of the station services.

Although they do not have a specific voice in the operation of the station, FRIENDS OF MYTV26, do have input in decisions by the board of directors - bringing suggestions to the meetings and making proposals to the officers and the board.

In addition, donations through FRIENDS OF MYTV26 also support the "FREE SPEECH / FIRST AMENDMENT" postion of the station's programming, covering the cost of airtime for specific issue broadcasts.

FRIENDS OF MYTV26 invites residents, organizations and businesses of Modesto, Stanislaus County and surrounding areas to support our mission through sponsorship.

Sponsors receive the following basic "Perks": Discount on media classes, monthly e-newsletter and quarterly print newsletter, discount on special events, access to “Sponsors only” events, and a MYTV26 promotional item.
